The first giva: the first families moved in in 1983 and many founders still live here. At the southern end of Efrat, with the Rimon park, a Clalit clinic and the seniors centre.
One of the older givot, with the council building, Efrat's first commercial centre, Yeshivat Neve Shmuel and the Derech Avot high school. A small expansion of 32 homes is under way.
The third giva built, and the community hub: the matnas, the public library, the sports grounds, the Aseh Chayil school and the MAHAR evening urgent-care centre.
About 18% of Efrat's homes. Efrat's second commercial centre and the Orot Etzion boys' school, with Sderot David HaMelech, the main road, running through it.
The largest giva (about a third of Efrat's homes) and the only one with many multi-storey buildings. Efrat Center, the Orot Etzion girls' school and a 12,000 m² central park.
Northern giva that began as caravans in 2001; families moved into permanent homes from 2017. The Mamad Ariel school, a central park and a 193-home northern expansion in development.

A hill east of Efrat, inside Efrat's area and the eruv, with an agricultural farm. It is not one of the seven givot on the council's street index.

Founded in 1982 and the highest community in the Gush (about 1,000 m), with views to the coast and cold, snowy winters. About 800 families; NBN describes a strong Anglo presence.

Founded in 1975 as a moshav by olim from North America; now more than 700 families. NBN calls it warm, social and diverse. It has an admissions committee and an olim absorption committee.

Religious kibbutz re-established in 1967, about 1,200 residents. The Heritage Centre, the field school and the Hatzar HaKfar shops and restaurants are at its entrance.
